Peterson Roses is a club at Frank H. Peterson available to any girl on campus.
It was made for a group of girls who wanted to have a safe place, build genuine relationships
with one another, and have fun.
This club is meant to build relationships between girls and teach them how to grow and accept
their beauty. This club is also meant to build character and encourage girls to take risks and be
themselves.
Roses meet every Tuesday after school in D406-D407. Attendance is mandatory, and Roses can
only miss four meetings to still be eligible for field trips and certain activities. Being late and
leaving early is also frowned upon and can result in an absence.
According to Peterson Roses’ sponsor, Mrs. Foster, as for now, Roses are currently no longer
taking on new members. They are trying to build relationships and function with the group of
girls they already have.
Peterson Roses was made for girls to be safe and secure within themselves, be able to trust
others, and not question their self-worth
