Blood Drive

Cykira Stallings

Blood drives are for volunteers to donate all blood products used for transfusions to help others who are in need of blood. According to Oneblood.org, “When you give blood you’re giving your time, talent, and dedication.” When donating blood, you gain a great feeling for helping someone in need and gain knowledge that you are helping your community. Individuals that are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in good health may be eligible to donate. You are not eligible to donate blood if you have ever used self-injected drugs that are not prescribed or have had hepatitis.

Every day, blood donors help patients of all kinds for example: accident, burn victims, heart surgery, organ transplant patients, or those battling cancer. Blood drives are trying to influence more people to donate today. The next blood drive will be held on Tuesday, April 19th.
