Each year the Cosmetology Academy at FHP host a Junior Hair Show. The Hair Show is a showcase for juniors, each junior gets to pick a partner then they create a team that consist of a hairstylist, makeup artist, and wardrobe.  Based on the theme, they do research and figure out how to create a look.

The first Junior Hair Show took place in March of 2015. When asked why Frank H. Peterson started a junior show, one of the cosmetology teachers, Ms. Toni said, “Because it was always a big push for the Senior Spotlight, and I felt the students needed practice on how to produce a show. The Junior Hair Show is fun, just practice for the real work of their Senior Spotlight or Capstone project.”

Last year’s Junior Hair Show theme was Disney princesses. Some of the princesses featured were: Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Princess Jasmine, Tiana, and many more. The show takes place in The Wright Place restaurant and usually last around an hour and 30 minutes.

This year’s theme is going to be kept secret so it can be a surprise, but the show will take place in Spring of 2022.
