As of Friday, February 24th, a couple of the students in the SkillsUSA Chapter at Frank H Peterson competed at regional competitions. The competitions were held at the downtown Florida State College campus.

There were nine students who competed. Three of the nine students had placed in the top 3. Those students are: Jazmyne Long, who got 2nd place in Culinary Arts, Jerro Madriaga who got 2nd place in T-Shirt Design and Allison Viola who got 3rd place in Photography. These three students will be going to State competitions in April. There are two more students who have competed at regionals and will also be advancing to state competitions.

Those two students are: Tyler Bryant who had competed in Prepared Speech and Brently Miller who competed in Automotive Refinishing Technology. Even though they did not place in the top 3, their scores were high enough for them to get invited to states. We do not know what they placed but they placed high enough to be invited.
